Mrs. Cheryl Palla

Cheryl served as a trustee of the Panama-Buena Vista Union School District for 20 years, retiring from the Board in December 2014. She is
a graduate of Fresno State University with a degree in Child Development. An active agri-business community leader, Mrs. Palla has
been active in numerous community organizations, including Bakersfield Rotary Club, High School Booster Clubs, School Parent
Clubs, School Site Council, District Advisory Committees, Student Farm Day, as well as, 4-H and Future Farmers of America. The Palla
families have resided in the Panama-Buena Vista communities and have attended Panama Schools for five generations.

Cheryl and her family have resided in the District for over 40 years and both of her children, as well as her husband, Rodney, have attended Panama Schools. Cheryl and her husband work together to manage Rodney Palla Farms, a family agricultural business.  Now that she has retired from the Board, Cheryl plans to spend her time and energy providing services to the community through the Rodney and Cheryl Palla Family Foundation, the KIDS COUNT! PBVUSD Foundation Board, volunteering at the Guild House and helping the Honor Flight organization meet their goals.
