Mrs. Armijo's Awesome Armadillos!

  • Amy Armijo

It is a pleasure to be teaching 2nd grade here at Stockdale Elementary where we strive to make your child’s education an exciting, challenging learning adventure.

I believe in teaching and supporting the "Total" child.  As both a teacher and a parent, I feel it is extremely important to balance the academic and social needs of children.  Providing a safe, warm and caring learning environment where all students feel comfortable and respected is a top priority in my classroom.  When these needs are met, students are able to actively engage in their learning, express curiosity, become independent thinkers and use "real world" problem solving skills which all contribute to and support success in learning.

Our class website is a great resource for both parents and students in keeping informed with what is currently being taught, accessing resources, knowing what has been assigned for homework, as well as knowing when assignments and projects are due.

Aside from being a teacher, I enjoy going to concerts with my husband, taking camping trips to the coast, getting lost in a good book, watching my two sons wrestle, and spending time laughing and relaxing with family and friends.

On behalf of our entire class, I thank you for visiting our website.  I look forward to open lines of communication and support between students, parents, and myself.  Please feel free to contact me via email should you have any questions or concerns.
