Welcome to Room 7, where students are invited and encouraged to increase their understanding and knowledge in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.
I am one of two IIC teachers at Stine Elementary School. I have enjoyed working here at Stine with an awesome group of caring and knowledgeable staff. This is my 23nd year as a teacher, 18 (counting this year) of which have been teaching Special Education. I first taught at Blake Elementary School, a one-room school house. I was not only responsible for teaching all grade levels from Kindergarten through 8th grade, but I was responsible for the administrative side of the school, too (I was the principal and superintendent)! This experience taught me to be patient, flexible, and resourceful; three qualities that serve me to this day.
Like a tri-pod needs three feet to hold a camera safely, I believe a team effort is needed for students to be successful in their education. First, the teacher provides a classroom filled with learning opportunities and guidance; second, the students takes an active role in their education by reading every night, participating in classroom discussions, and giving their best effor in their classroom/homework assignments; finally, the parents make sure the students are doing their homework (at least reading 20 minutes a night), providing nutritious meals, and giving constant, positive support and encouragement. If all of us work together, we all succeed!
If you have any questions, feel free to email me or leave a message with our secretary in the office. My e-mail is email@example.com.

First, I know we all have questions as to how this Independent Study is going to work. I would much rather be in the classroom helping my students than having to rely on my quickly constructed take-home packets. However, if the students follow the daily lessons, they will not lose any of their hard earned knowledge from the beginning of the year. I will keep this updated the best that I can, or create another page for student/teacher conversations.
Second, for my students, go to www.mobymax.com/ca8623 and then sign in as a student. Your username and password are you lunch #.
If any of my students need help or have any questions, please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
P.S. My store will open when school resumes.
